On August 27, 2025, CCTV's flagship news program Xinwen Lianbo reported on the Greater Bay Area's first pumped-storage project — the commissioning of the first generation unit at the Guangdong Meizhou Pumped-Storage Power Plant Phase II. This is a critical piece of grid-peaking infrastructure for southern China, expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by 700,000 tons per year.
In this national-grade critical-energy project, the CESIPC 21.5-inch redundant-power industrial panel PC (model UTC-W2192E) serves as a core component of the central control system. The pumped-storage central control display visible to nationwide viewers in the Xinwen Lianbo broadcast is in fact a CESIPC industrial-grade product, deeply customized for this project.
Core Project Requirements
- Dual redundant power: hot-swap between primary and backup supplies — no downtime on single-path failure
- 21.5" wide display: Full HD resolution supporting multi-window monitoring and dispatch
- 7×24 long-term operation: MTBF ≥ 60,000 hours with zero critical-data loss
- EMI immunity: purpose-engineered for the high-EMI environment inside a substation
CESIPC's solution: built on the in-house FlexCore™ modular mainboard architecture + SafeCore™ dual-power-redundancy design + a 21.5" industrial-grade touch display, delivering a complete central control HMI for the project. As of publication, the system has run more than 4,000 hours of fault-free continuous operation — proof of CESIPC industrial panel PCs' reliability and stability in national-grade critical-energy applications.
This project has established a flagship reference for CESIPC across new-energy critical-control scenarios — pumped storage, wind, solar PV and energy storage. We welcome customers in these industries to discuss customization requirements with us.
